No. 5 Doodle Salutations

Well hello there,

I can't tell you how excited I was when-while playing around in illustrator with this sketch-I discovered that I could make a clipping mask from the negative parts.  Clipping masks have to be my favorite thing I have learned about in Illustrator so far.  I learned how to use one from Jenn on Good Look Cook Book.  Good Look Cook Book is a design kitchen with recipes from very talented designers, one day I want to write a recipe for them.  Alma Loveland has a few recipes in the cook book and she is a fantastic teacher I am saving my pennies to take her online course on this lovely program called Illustrator.  I seriously got giddy like a little kid-what is wrong with me-but it is just so fun to think of something in your head and then be able to create it.  I have too many to count brewing right now because of this new skill I discovered.

Inspiration?  Every morning since McGilly was born, after picking her up out of her cradle or crib, we have opened the blinds in her room, let in the sunshine and said, yes you guessed it, "Hello world, what have you got for me today?"

Speaking of, guess who I hear babbling into the monitor, McGilly just woke up...lets talk tomorrow.

Have a fantastic friday night!

Hoooo is the coolest?  Yooou are the coolest.  {Sorry I couldn't resist},

Ash
